The Amy Ahlers Show is especially for ambitious, soulful, women that are ready to STOP being so hard on themselves, release self-bullying and embrace their Inner Wisdom.
Have you been deeply hurt by other women?
When I look at the hurt, trauma, and biggest challenges of my life they almost all center around the brutal side of female relationships. Since middle school days, I've been burned, stonewalled, betrayed, cheated, ghosted, smeared and so much more by women I deeply cared about and trusted. (Not to mention women who I don't even know that have slung arrows at me!)
Tune in for today’s show and discover:
- Studies that show us how much women tear each other apart
- How to begin to unravel the mystery of sisterhood
- Why it’s worth it to create sisterhood even when you’ve been burned!

Patriarchy is defined as "a system of society or government in which men hold the power and women are largely excluded from it." When we think about patriarchy, we usually think about the systems that exist in the world. But what about the systems of patriarchy that exist INSIDE us? I brought in a powerful guest, Shannon Thompson, founder and visionary director of Shakti Rising, a non-profit social change organization transforming the lives of women, girls, and the larger community, to take part in this galvanizing conversation.
Listen in and discover:
- How the feminine has been systematically suppressed
- What internalized patriarchy costs men
- The beginning of how to deconstruct this insanity!
Make sure to check out the work Shakti Rising is doing in the world and consider giving a year-end donation to this important organization. www.ShaktiRising.org

#314: The Amy Ahlers Show is especially for emerging, rising and established women leaders that are ready to STOP being so hard on themselves so they can make their greatest contribution, rise and lead. Show notes for today’s episode can be found at www.amyahlersshow.com/314
When looking at the things that get in the way of women rising, the fear of visibility is at the top. As women, we’ve been sold a bill of goods since our birth about how women should look and it leads to far too many women into hiding. Today I invited visibility expert, Siddiqui Ray, to dive into this important topic so more women can shine bright.
Siddiqi Ray is an internationally acclaimed intuitive photographer who captures soulful images that astonish, entertain, and move us. Her vision and talent have earned her opportunities to work with Forbes 100 corporations, Time Magazine, the Associated Press, Mayo Clinic, Target, and Macy's, as well as many global business leaders from Tibet to Australia.
Among the luminaries, she has been hired to photograph include: His Holiness the Dalai Lama, The Kennedy family, Nelson Mandela, and the Navy SEALS in an underwater series.
Siddiqi uses this experience, and her decades of intuitive trained abilities to help her clients overcome their self-limiting fears and inhibitions holding them back from fully expressed photographs that will empower their success in life and business.
Listen to discover:
- The fear of being visible and where it comes from
- The role of narcissism in our culture of endless selfies
- How to find your sacred ground of authenticity

#313: The Amy Ahlers Show is especially for emerging, rising and established women leaders that are ready to STOP being so hard on themselves so they can make their greatest contribution. Show notes for today’s episode can be found at www.amyahlersshow.com/313
As a white privileged woman, I have a deep desire (and responsibility) to be an ally to people of color, to be a stand for anti-racism and social justice work. I want my daughters to grow up in a world where healing has occurred and I know that reckoning with my whiteness is a huge part of that work. So I invited my friend and colleague, Rebecca Aced-Molina, to have a conversation about whiteness and her anti-racism work that she specifically does with white women. Rebecca is a life-long seeker of meaning, purpose, and justice. Rebecca has invented her own job since 2000 and today she works with women in leadership positions find their voice, connect with their wholeness, and engage with their deepest purpose as they navigate the waters of race, gender, and inequality. Rebecca serves on faculty at Leadership that Works, an accredited coach training program, and facilitates a course on interpersonal dynamics at the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
Listen in and discover:
- How ingrained white supremacy is in our culture and subconscious
- The two camps of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and how we need to bring them together to create change
- The truth about white guilt and how to begin your inner and outer anti-racism work
Make sure to check out Rebecca’s new leadership program for white anti-racist women, Authentic Solidarity at her website: https://rebecca-acedmolina.com/
