Mona de Vestel is an award-winning author who grew up in Brussels, Belgium and later moved to the United States where she taught writing at the State University of New York (Oswego & Utica). Mona's debut novel ONE STRING GUITAR was a semi-finalist for VCU Cabell First Novelist Award. Her memoir KING LEOPOLD'S DAUGHTER was a finalist for Restless Books New Immigrant Writing Prize.
